Our new exhibition this year is an updated and reworked history of Hallaton Castle.
Matthew Morris has helped us put together some enthralling new information about the Motte & Bailey.
We don’t want to give too much away, but it’s definitely worth a visit to our museum, which may encourage you to visit us during the Festival of Archaeology in July when you will have the opportunity to walk up to the Castle. This is usually closed to the public but tickets will be on sale.
This year it will be open on July 12,19,26th and August 2nd.
In addition to this exhibition , we also have a smaller Ale Tales exhibition, so if you missed this last year it’s worth checking out.
Of course Hallaton Museum would not be running without the other two permanent exhibitions:-
Hallaton Bottle Kicking.
Hallaton Treasure, which tells the story of the amazing discovery back in 2000 by Ken Wallace including the replica Helmet.
There are lots of interactive things to do which captivates people of all ages.
Please find time to visit us. We are sure you will find it a memorable visit!
Saturday and Sundays 2.00 – 4.30 , or by appointment if you belong to a group.
